What our Account Directors do
You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing client accounts. You’ll be responsible for leading internal teams, developing strategies, managing executional tactics, and ensuring client and team success.
- Lead and manage multiple client accounts across various categories
- Foster strong client relationships and serve as a trusted partner
- Develop strategic plans to help clients achieve their goals
- Identify opportunities to support clients' businesses and overcome challenges
- Lead and collaborate on creative, digital and media briefs
- Collaborate with strategists, creatives, project managers, and producers
- Synthesize client feedback and guide the team towards effective solutions
- Develop and deliver client presentations
- Manage budgets
- Participate in new business opportunities
- Mentor and supervise account team members
Ideal experience for an Account Director
- 8+ years of account management experience in an advertising agency
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to build authentic and mutually respectful relationships with clients
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Comfortable presenting, in-person, and virtually
- Able to autonomously lead client accounts
- Leadership potential and experience supervising and mentoring team members
- Experience working on both digital and traditional marketing
- Natural curiosity and a desire to learn
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
- Confident, motivated, driven, and a self-starter
- Positive, can-do attitude and enthusiastic about the advertising industry

What it looks like to be an Account Director at Preston Spire
- This position is based in Minneapolis
- We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days in the office (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two days remote (Tuesday and Friday)
