A Calling Turned Apathy Into the Earliest Season Ticket Sellout in Wild History.
After four underwhelming seasons, Wild fans weren’t rushing to buy season tickets. They liked the team. They just weren’t acting on it. Apathy had settled in, and the window to convert avid 1-3 game buyers into season ticket members was closing.
We didn’t fight fan indifference with discounts or urgency tactics. We found something hiding in plain sight: every NHL team has its own unique goal horn. The Wild’s lighthouse foghorn wasn’t just distinctive. It was a literal call to the faithful. So we answered it.
The campaign turned that iconic sound into an invitation. Broadcast, digital, and radio put the horn to work, reaching true Wild fans wherever they were and daring them to heed the call. To make it tangible, we created a limited-edition print signed by the Wild captains, given exclusively to new season ticket members. It became something worth displaying, a physical badge of commitment in rec rooms, garages, and dens across Minnesota.
